Jackson Culp is a vampire rock recording artist and producer from Northeast Louisiana whose music sounds as though it were dredged from the bottom of a bayou and left to dry in the sun. Drawing from the gothic density of Nick Cave, the menacing groove of Queens of the Stone Age, the raw punk mythology of the Misfits, the psychedelic haze of Tame Impala, and the moody, atmospheric cool of the Arctic Monkeys, Culp has spent the better part of a decade building one of the most singular and self-contained sonic worlds in independent rock. Every song is written, recorded, produced, and performed by Culp alone at his studio in the swamps of Northeast Louisiana, where eerie beauty and emotional truth collide in a space that feels, as Green Street Monster Fest put it, "as cinematic as it does deeply personal."

Jackson's catalog unfolds as a single, sprawling gothic narrative across three bodies of work. Culp launched the project in 2021 with THE LAGOON, a simmering, ukulele-birthed debut EP that follows two hate-filled lovers into a beautiful, tropical paradise. Two years later, in 2023, EVERYONE'S FAVORITE VAMPIRE arrived with heavier grooves and darker intentions, tracing the toxic relationship's fallout and the arrival of a figure who seems inviting at first before revealing something far more sinister. In January 2026, Culp released his debut full-length album, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SKULL BOY? - a sprawling, two-years-in-the-making album crafted in Ableton and then mastered on Jackson's found TEAC a-2300s reel-to-reel tape machine. This was a process Culp completed entirely in isolation. The album centers around a mysterious, decaying, once-dangerous figure who wanders into a mythical forest and then enters into an arrangement he does not fully understand. Over twenty-four months, space-age rock and roll, nomadic poetry, classic theatrics, and dark, irresistible dreams converged to fully realize the inner workings and complexities of Culp's self-coined genre, vampire rock.

On FOX 14 KARD and KTVE NBC 10, host Ashley Doughty told Culp directly, "Jackson, that was awesome. Your voice is pretty. You are so talented. Everybody in the studio really enjoyed this."

WRIU 90.3 from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI recently spun Jackson's songs "DOWN HONEY" and "FAR OUT!", and commented, "I don't have words. That was crazy. That's actually crazy."

On TikTok, where creator Nick from nicksmusictaste commands an audience of more than 180,000 followers, the reaction to Culp's music was three words: "Chilling. I just got chills."

Jackson's live vehicle, Jackson Culp and the Company, has been marauding across Louisiana and the surrounding states since their first performance at the Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts in August 2022, evolving and transforming with each incarnation. The band now features Jackson Culp on lead electric guitar and vocals, and his brothers, Rex Bolls on bass guitar, and Nate Bolls on drums. In October of 2025, Jackson Culp and the Company had the honor of performing at the second annual Green Street Monster Fest, headlined by Grammy-nominated Bowling for Soup. This began a new series of shows leading to the release of the Company's debut album and their Album Release Concert in their hometown of Monroe, Louisiana at Flying Tiger Brewery. This was an event that was publicized and featured by NPR affiliate, 90.3 KEDM, and FOX 14 KARD/KTVE NBC 10.

All of their songs are written and recorded by Jackson in Louisiana in order to maintain their artistic purity, stay true to their instincts, and pay homage to their beginnings. However, this does not imply that the band is afraid of evolution. Constantly, Jackson Culp and the Company are searching for ways to sonically and performatively maintain the true and immortal spirit of rock n' roll, while also purely and naturally unearthing new nuances. Jackson Culp is not attempting to fit into a pre-determined musical scene. He is building his own - one haunted chapter at a time from the Louisiana darkness.
